Janet and Brandon were married on June 25th, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with their reception following at the Bolling Haxall House. Since they are both Catholic they decided to do an abbreviated mass for their ceremony in order to honor their faith. I first spoke with them right after I started my business in late 2014, and they later hired me in early 2015.
After dating for 10 years, they took a trip to Chicago where Brandon later proposed in one of the absolute most unique and creative ways I have seen thus far! Brandon's Best Man, John, is an app developer. He created an app that had information about different landmarks around the windy city that Janet and Brandon could read as they toured Chicago. When they arrived at "The Bean" there was a message on the app telling Janet to "turn around." When she turned, she found Brandon on one knee with a message saying, "Will you marry me?" It doesn't get much better than that! After working with them over the last year and a half I can honestly say that Brandon was one of the most attentive and doting grooms; it was wonderful to witness.
They had an "Elements of Richmond" wedding complete with RVA street names for their table names, a variety of small cakes from Shyndigz for their reception, and doing their bridal party photos at the historic Capitol building. The Bolling Haxall House is so stunning and historic on the inside that even with simple decor and details, a couple can create a meaningful impact. The wedding reception was fun (hello shoe game!) and they had the BEST team of vendors behind them that night. So let's all join together in wishing this couple many happy years and lots and lots of love! I hope you two can make it back to the Big Island again!

You can't really tell from this photo, but Brandon is an avid cyclist and he and the groomsmen wore bicycle socks!
Janet wore such a pretty dress with a cathedral length veil.
What an absolutely breathtaking sanctuary!
