Today on the blog, I am featuring my first ever guest blogger to Maggie's Musings! Yay! I am so thankful when I get to work with sweet vendors like Emily! Emily Bringmann is the owner of Feathered Heart Prints, an online custom invitation and stationery boutique. She is based out of Daytona Beach, Florida but designs custom suites for couples all over the world! She does absolutely beautiful work and can create a custom invitation suite for your wedding or event to match any theme, color, or style that your little heart desires! Her Etsy shop has nearly 1,500 sales and almost 250 reviews (not to mention most of them are 5 stars!). I felt led to share her beautiful work with you guys and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. "Hi Everyone! My name is Emily Bringmann, and I am the owner of Feathered Heart Prints, an online custom invitation and stationery boutique! I opened the virtual doors to Feathered Heart Prints a little over 2 years ago as a creative outlet for my "spare time" (I use quotes here because I was working 2 jobs at the time, one as a full-time trauma counselor at a non-profit agency and the other part-time as a counselor in a private practice! Spare time was limited but I was in great need of a creative outlet!)

My love for designing began in my high school photography classes where my teacher encouraged us to create more than just pictures, but art from behind the lens. I considered pursuing photography, but my "practical brain" won out and instead I went on to study psychology. It wasn't until I was planning my own wedding in 2011 that I began to get in touch with my creative self again and completely fell in love with designing invitations and stationery for weddings.
I didn't know much about the mechanics of design at the time, other than just following my instincts, but I love a challenge so I taught myself how to use the fancy computer design programs and started creating lots of wedding goodies just for fun. Eventually, my friends and family encouraged me to open up an Etsy shop, so in 2013 I did just that and it has been a blast ever since. I was able to go full-time with designing in October of last year and I have worked with hundreds of couples from all over the world!
In my shop I have many ready made designs that couples can choose from for their wedding invitations and save the dates in a variety of styles.
I also absolutely LOVE getting to work on custom designs. It is so fun getting to bring the couple's personality into their designs. I think it is so important to bring your personality into your invitations because they are the first glimpse of your wedding that your guests will see. So I encourage couples to use their stationery to set the tone for their wedding.
If you want it fun, then bring that into the invitations, if you want it elegant or modern, bring that into the design, if you want it formal or black tie, convey that with some upscale invitations. Let them speak for the day you have prepared!
I offer many other matching items that are needed for the wedding day such as menus, programs, seating charts, places cards, signs etc. But my absolutely favorite wedding extra is my custom maps! Most couples use these in their out-of-town guest bags and put an itinerary on the back, but they can also be used in your invitation suite or as a save the date. One of the cutest uses I've see with these was as a scavenger hunt for a proposal :::Swoon!:::
I am so humbled every day that I get to be a small part of a couple's big day. I feel incredibly blessed to get to work with couples who are in love and planning their greatest adventure! I'd love to hear about you all and what great plans you have in store for your big days! Say hello and come be my friend on Instagram (@featheredheartprints) or Facebook."
Doesn't she sound delightful?! I invite you to head on over to her Etsy, Instagram, or Facebook page to get a better feel for her and her designs.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
