Hey guys! Since Sunday is the last day of 2016, I wanted to share some of my favorite moments of the year with you: from wedding recaps and styled shoot sneak peeks, to even a few personal photos :-). This year brought a lot of exciting moments for us to celebrate! We had our first destination wedding in New York, welcomed our first consulting clients, developed an in depth design process for our clients (a personal goal of mine as well), took several continuing education courses, participated in two AMAZING photo shoots in the fall, created new vendor relationships, and grew both artistically and aesthetically. 2017 is going to bring with it many exciting changes for Maggie's Misc and I can't wait to share the new look and brand with you sometime in the new year! In the meantime, enjoy these photos from 2016 and have a Hap, Hap, Happy New Year!

Favorite Instagram Photos
As I have poured myself into learning all I can about design this year, my aesthetic and look has evolved and grown. Here is some of the result of that hard work and some of my favorite Instagram photos that gives a little sneak peek into the direction Maggie's Misc is headed.
Styled Shoot Sneak Peeks
I can't share much of either of these shoots while we are waiting to hear back from publishers but I can show you a few sneak peeks that have already been shared on social media. The top shoot is a bridal portrait session with Alex Tenser Photography at the Virginia House. The bottom is a fine art styled shoot with Nikki Santerre at Dover Hall Estate. I can't WAIT to show more of both of these!
On a personal note, 2016 brought one of the greatest joys (and probably the biggest highlight of my year) with it for our little family! In October we adopted a 7 year old Beagle rescue named Smokey Jackson! We don't know much about his background other than he came from Danville and was probably used as a hunting dog (and likely set out when he wasn't needed anymore). He wasn't neutered and didn't even know "Sit" when we rescued him. We have worked hard at crate and house training as well as teaching him good doggie manners! We are so in love with him and all his little quirks (he makes piggy noises and buries his nose whenever he sleeps!). I am so thankful he came into our lives!
Thanks for reading along! Happy 2017!
